Chenope is a core technology company focused on detecting anomalies in large scale data, specifically unusual regularities in data that suggest attempts to manipulate, distort, or pollute an information space. Unlike most data analysis companies, our technology does not rely on a single approach such as Machine Learning, but most frequently has been built using real world tradecraft to determine the more accurate pure mathematical expressions of different scenarios.

We are a research, long term-oriented startup. Our approach is to study a difficult problem like disinformation from a number of different angles before implementing a product. In the case of disinformation, we studied Islamic State recruiting in France at its height, Russian disinformation in Ukraine, and political messaging in the US before and after elections.

Chenope was founded by the same people as Cataphora
