The Gryfia Shipyard in Szczecin is proud to announce the launch of its incubator for maritime drones.
Sea drone companies from Ukraine, and elsewhere, who are designing and building sea drones to protect Ukraine – and so Eastern NATO as well – are encouraged to apply. The Gryfia Shipyard Sea Drone Incubator provides space, security, equipment, and an exemption from EU export controls. It can also assist companies who wish to benefit from the incubator in having a “soft landing” in Poland, including finding grant money and making introductions as appropriate to the Polish MoD. The Incubator is part of the Drone Valley initiative, which provides additional services that you can read about here.
The Shipyard is one of the largest and best-known repair shipyards in Northern Europe.
The shipyard’s central location in Europe, close proximity to the main land transport routes and important shipping lines as well as good infrastructure make the plant a good partner for ship repairs. Its CEO, noted Polish politician Senator Zaremba, is the grandson of the first Polish Mayor of Szczecin post WWII.
“It’s a historical moment we have to make the best of. All interested sea drone companies are welcome to join.”
Krzysztof Zaremba
CEO at Gryfia
The Szczecin area is one of Poland’s largest port complexes. It is an important port for cargo shipped down the Oder from Germany as well as the Czech Republic and Hungary. It is about a 3-hour drive from Berlin. It is a multicultural city where you can hear several different languages regularly spoken. Szczecin is a significant cultural center of western Poland, having four universities, several theatres, a philharmonic orchestra, and the National Museum. It is a picturesque city with many monuments, parks, and small lakes.
Please contact us with a letter of recommendation from any government entity in your country, and an overview of your company and its products or product plans. We are happy to arrange a visit to the shipyard for any qualified company.
